John Malton is a multi-talented musician and producer based near Frankfurt am Main. Already making music as a toddler, his journey took him through varios band projects, over commercial productions to finally making EDM Music. As a professional drummer and guitarrist, all of his productions have this special handmade and analog touch, topping an excellent skill in beatmaking.

Born 1980 he learned to play drums at the age of 5, taking accordeon classes with 6, singing in a choir with 12 and learning to play guitar with 14, one can say that his life is built around music. Later, being fascinated by the digital world and audio technology, he started working and recording in DAW-Softwares like Cubase and Reason, where he could creatively express himself and experiment in new ways. He got caught by the countless possibilities coming from the mixture of the analog and digital side of music production. Malton also was pretty active in the local culture, music and event scene, and began to make a career and business of his creative and music skills. He built up his own recording- and production studios and started acting as a DJ and also as an organizer of minimal, deep & tech house club events with his friends.

When it comes to inspriations and influence, Malton draws the essence of his creative juice from a wide variety of artists and genres, from jazz, blues, rocka and reggea as well as wave, electronic and club music. Ennumerating all of them would go far beyond the scope, but you can count on many of the usual suspects.

His diverse and early musical influences from classical music, the jazz-, funk- and rock-eras as well as the sound of the nineties, subtle finds its way into his works and can be heard in new contexts throughout most of his productions.
